Mac will not open with password3/16/2024 ![]() Since our company have a AD password expiration policy, this is a true nightmare for those 12 employees with the Mac that are not bound to AD and I want to fix this now. I am IT manager for a pretty large company and for several reasons, only a dozen of Mac are NOT bound to AD, mostly because they are remote worker that never comes physically to our offices and only access Windows file server shares through VPN, so they are using local profiles and no AD bind.įormerly in older MacOS versions (I think back to Sierra), when you were going into the network browsing in the Mac Finder and then clicking on a Windows file server, you had a button "Change Password", but this seem to have been removed in latest MacOS versions. I searched a lot for this question without success, because obviously changing AD password from a Mac that is bind to AD is a piece of cake, however, how can I do that when the Mac IS NOT BIND to AD domain?
